ALIF PlayNLearn:
Helping Children Learn Islam The Fun Way
Children learn best when they are having fun through play! What a great way to help children learn. Now, you can use play-based activities to help children learn about Islam using the ALIF PlayNLearn module.
Let's Make Learning Islam Fun!
In teaching Islam to young children, we need to use a different approach than older children. For young children who are between the ages 2-4 years old, they need activities which are hands-on and play-based to capture their interest.
If you are a new preschool or childcare centre owner, you may face the challenge of attracting new enrollment to your centres, as some parents may prefer more established centres. Another challenge you may face is in getting your teachers, especially the new ones, to develop modules for your centre’s use.
As parents are more selective when it comes to their children’s early education nowadays, especially related to Islamic values, it is important for you as the preschol or childcare centre owner, to offer a good Islamic program which is suitable for their children. Thus, having a fun, play-based Islamic program which was developed by qualified and experience educators, will attract more parents to enroll their children to you.
How do we introduce and teach young children about Islam in a way that is fun and effective for them?
“Play is the work for children”. Thus, by using PLAY to help children learn about ISLAM and being a MUSLIM, we help children enjoy the learning process.
ALIF PlayNLearn is a program which consists of 60 lesson plans based on a variety of topics that are related to the children and things around them.
Each of the lessons include Circle Time, Story Time, Active Play or Sensory Play, Song & Movement and Arts & Crafts. The lessons are written in detail so that even new teachers are able to conduct the lessons with ease.
The lessons instill in the children awareness of Allah as their Creator (Early Tawheed) as well as social skills (Akhlaq and Adab) when they are playing with their friends.
